I too am having a bad experience with the above mentioned. I recently..(with the last 3 weeks) purchased a pc. At a cost of £345.00!! Its a great pc and had everything as it should. but unfortunately the Dvd draw wouldnt open. Trying to contact this company in the first place is a nightmare. The phone was either constantly engaged. Or it just rang. I finally got through after a couple of days of trying. Explained my predicament, and was advised as follows..."Its probably the connection. They sometimes come loose in transit. What you need to do is take the side off the pc,and check the connections". My reply. "Will this not invalidate the (3 years warranty)?". His reply. "No its fine".
So that evening my husband carefully took the side off, and checked all connections. Everything was fine. That was over a week ago. And since then i have been ringing them every day, all day. The phone just constantly rings. I have also emailed them. No reply. Now to my horror. As of today 26th May i cant even access their website. I too was taken in by their "Good reviews" And all in all it is a fantastic pc. But it isnt doing what it should. Advice please!!!!!!:mad:0 -
This website has now 'gone' - have you checked the account that you paid with because this company suddenly paid back the whole amount for my order (I was still waiting for delivery and had been trying to contact them for ages)0

Well I have taken delivery of the pc. But how to get the problem solved/repaired is another issue. If I cant get hold of them. Have they gone into receivership do we think?0

Rather than something official like receivership, I fear they may have just done a bunk. Did you see the comment about the photos on the website not even being their premises?0 -

If you paid with your credit card I would immediately contact them and file a Section 75 claim. Claim under the fact that the pc is not fit for purpose and the company is not fulfilling it's obligations under the Sale of Goods act. You may even have success with a simple charge back to the card if Cube are no longer around to dispute it.
If I were you I would not accept a repair under any circumstances. Even though the PC seems fine apart from the DVD drive, it is highly likely that you will experience further problems. Cube are renowned for substituting the parts that you thought you were getting with much cheaper alternatives that are more likely to go wrong in the long term.
I am sorry to hear about your problem and hope you get it sorted, but I can't help but hope that Cube has gone for good. They have ripped too many people off and should have been forced to close years ago.0 -
Hi,
Looks like you'll be fulfilling your own warranty work from now on as Cube have gone bust. I nearly got caught by them - very dodgy dealing towards the end of the company's life looking at some of the post around the web. I consider myself fortunate (just got to get my cash back from the credit card company now!).

PR Booth, who are a specialist insolvency practice, are dealing with this company (prboothandco.co.uk) You may get some help from them.0 -

Might be worth a try but you will probably be very low down on their list of priorities.
I would definitely claim against the credit card who are legally obliged to sort it for you.0 -
Thanks everyone! Shall be contacting P.R Booth and my Bank tommorrow. It was paid for with a Visa Debit card,so I still may be able to get some sort of refund. worth a try.0
