Do I have to leave feedback?

I purchased a chest of drawers a week ago from e-bay (collected from seller). As soon as I saw them I knew I had been done but a contract is a contract so I paid up and took them away - I have since taken them to the tip! Ok they only cost me £10 but they were dirty and full of woodworm holes! So rather than give the seller bad feedback I haven't given him any at all! He is now e-mailing me insisting that as he left me good feedback I should do the same! I've ignored his e-mails but I feel like leaving him the stinking feedback he deserves! What does everyone think? I know I'm a coward and I should have refused the chest of drawers in the first place but I hate conflict especially face to face!:o:o:o

It's always difficult when you collect something, how were they described?

They were described as solid wood chest of drawers which would benefit from a coat of paint?

Just leave a neutral stating that "drawers full of woodworm holes so only suitable for the skip".

Before leaving a neg, contact the seller first and let them know you haven't left any FB because the drawers were full or woodworm.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Okay I've drummed up enough courage and left neutral feed back saying drawers were dirty and full of woodworm and taken straight to the local tip! Arghhhh! I hate doing it but I've done it now! Can the seller take the positive feedback that he gave me back or change it to negative?

Sellers can only give positive FB.
If the worm had been treated, killed that is , not taken to the cinema. With a coat of paint they would probably have resold for more than a tenner or been a really good set of drawers.
He can though leave a reply to your feedback.

i would like to know what you were expecting for a tenner, described as needing a coat of paint.

I would have expected to see on the description that it had woodworm holes? You would hardly expect to buy a mohair jumper full of moth holes so why should I expect a chest of drawers full of holes! The price doesn't matter it's an auction!

Seller has got back and he's not happy but if he hadn't insisted on feedback he wouldn't have got any! It was my choice not to leave any negative feedback but he's insisted on my feedback and he's got honest feedback!

I would left positive feedback too. Be honest as we would like to create an enjoyable environment on eBay instead of wars around
