SPAM from my email address

I have received two SPAM emails which were entitled as follows:

Daily Cash Jobs v.11
Before I Die

They were both delivered to my junk folder. Usually I would block the sender but both of these emails seem to have originated from my email address - as if I had sent them to myself! I know that this won't seem so unfamiliar to some of you lot but (what's it all about?) should I just block the sender as usual?

Cheers

T

The "From" field for email means nothing, you can setup various email programmes to use the same "from" as the "to" address, it's a very basic and simple way of avoiding basic blocks that don't look at anything else.

If the emails are also in your 'Sent' folder, someone has hacked your email account and you need to change your password. If not, it's just address spoofing.
