Was it a simple case of putting a non-Tesco SIM in the phone and then entering the code to unlock?
Exactly. The girl from Tesco said she had a couple of codes to try if one didn't work, but the first one worked fine. The codes are about 10 characters long and are a combination of numbers, stars and hashes. You just type it in as if you were making a call but they will talk you through it.0 -
Cool, thanks. Hope it arrives soon. Just noticed I have a text message from Tesco saying "here is your PIN, it is only valid for 20 minutes". It was sent yesterday at 2pm but I can't remember if that was before or after I rang them for the unlock code. In any case, I haven't received a phone call or e-mail from them, and the PIN in the text message is just that - a number, no letters or symbols.

I just made a follow-up call to Three to see if they had any news on the unlock code for my Wildfire. The woman said it takes "up to five working days", so that will be this Friday.

Well, I have it, but I had to call them..again.
Was easy enough, just putting in a string of numbers.
I will be calling them from work next Tuesday to cancel the contract. I'm not doing that on my dollar."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Did you ever get your phone unlocked Suzey?
