I'd be interested in knowing which scrappies these are. The only local one I know wont do this and are also a right bunch of miserable ****s. Tried to charge me double after I asked for a set of 10 rear wheel studs for a Volvo 940 and they took the front ones off instead, which have a different fitting.

    Try Twyn Car breakers

    The Twyn,
    Fleur De Lis,
    BLACKWOOD,
    NP12 3UL
    01443 834537

Usually pretty reasonable on price and will direct you to the vehicle to remove parts yourself.

Excellent, and not far from me at all.

Don't suppose they have an S13 200SX or R32 Skyline in stock at the moment, do they?

    I use

    Bill Way in Cardiff
    K & L in Cardiff
    Llantrisant - Ynysmaerdy
    Pontypridd (road to Trehafod)

A1 Spares in Cardiff is the 5th one I mentioned

I won't touch GMH Cardiff with a barge pole

Deaton's in Chesterfield let you wander about last time I went. Its pretty big but best to check they have your model car before going.

I think the wandering around thing is more to stop bits accidentally falling into your pocket as opposed to onto your head.

Pontypridd (road to Trehafod) over the bridge?

I’ve always found the big city ones like Bill Way are expensive, if you don’t mind a trip up into the valleys then these are two that I used to use (but I’ve not set foot in them for 15 years+) but thanks to google maps they both still seem to be there and still in the delightfully random order they always were.

I can’t seem to post an image but use google maps (satellite view) to go to 51.598934,-3.438506 and 51.608346,-3.441741 and you’ll find two yards full of cars just waiting for you to remove the bits you need

Lum, sadly the resolution isn’t good enough to see if they have any 200s or Skylines so you’ll have to go look in person.

Last time I was there I got an entire drive train (engine, box, and rear diff) out of a burnt Audi which, due to the reverse application of Sods Law, ensured the those bits in my car remained trouble free whilst I had the car. They are still in my old dads shed so if anyone needs some you know where to come.

I find the opposite, Bill Way & K&L are cheaper than the more rural ones.

I'll take a look at those two next time I'm over there.

Ponty: Yes over the little bridge
