CPW has phones out on display to try, so do 3 mobile shops, so do some orange, o2 and t-mobile shops, phones4u usually don't.

If they don't have the phone you want to try out on display then you can ask to look at one working, but be prepared for some stupidly high pressure selling esp if you are in phones4u.

The O2 shop seemed to be the best. None had the Wildfire on display though, and Orange didn't have the SF on display.

CPW always give you a look like your up to something dodgy when you play with there phones.
  • In some larger Tesco stores they have a seperate 'Tesco Mobile' shop with all the phones out on display.

I'd say the O2 shops as they generally seem to have working handsets! I have tried CPW (larger stores only) and only ever find about 30% of the handsets actually work.

If your really interested in buying, Phones4u actually let you demo and hold a real handset, they are at that point tryint to talk you into purchasing so beware but if your really serious they can often offer good and competative deals anyway.
