    Hi Pastures New,

On the main picture of the front of the house the sign says 30.... however it may have 'a' there too.

Oh 30a has been sold loads of times. Knock on the doors, ask the neighbours.

You must have a bigger screen than me to have spotted the number. I just right clicked and loaded it into a separate window, then zoomed in another 3x before I could see it.... must get glasses and a bigger monitor (15").

I wouldn't touch a property that has been sold so many times in such a short period, unless you can find documentary evidence of why it sold which shows it's just a big coincidence.

ummm there does look to be summat up with the house.

There is a pub at the end of the road and a shelter at the other. Behind is a large car park.

Its tucked up behind the old Victorian houses so is away from both really.

The other odd thing is apparently the whole upstairs windows are in opaque glass, would that not be odd?

Not if it's on a busy bus route with only a shallow front garden. There doesn't appear to be a rear garden, no photo or mention of one anyway. Also has 'brick flooring' which sounds particularly horrible and useless.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Why do you think the windows are opaque? I have had a look at the Estate Agents pics and they look clear to me. The interior photos show they have venetian blinds up.

Have a look at the property history on Zoopla http://www.zoopla.co.uk/property-history/30a-st-johns-road/lowestoft/nr33-0ph/12541003 which shows the advert for the last sale when it stated it was a newly renovated barn conversion.

According to http://www.houseprices.co.uk/e.php?q=30a+st+johns+lowestoft it has been sold a few times in the recent past but it would appear that the last sale is the only since the conversion was done.

I don't know where DP James gets his/her figure of 3 sales since Feb'10 from or how they know the reasons for selling.

The aerial views on Google maps are before the conversion , but Google street view is useful to get a look around the area.

I think it looks like a very nice property inside but has very little outside space.Good luck to your parents with whatever decision they make.

Went to auction in September but did not sell.

Sold after the auction for an undisclosed sum.:

Well it tells us people cant bear to live there. Its not the garden or the location, as clearly buyers know about these before they buy them.

Its something you cant see. Im guessing either haunted, or neighbour issues.

I have lived in a conversion like this before, ( not qui8te as nice tho!) and it was really noisy, you could hear next door changing tv channels tho they were not particularly loud. Apart from when they had cocaine fuelled arguments at 4am. nice!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Oh and i belived you cant sell a property with a mortgage under a year?
Not the case. You are confusing this with some lenders not lending on property which is being turned over in less than 6 or 12 months.
