GiffGaff (or other) free credit
Martin says:
How to get it: Get a free Giff Gaff sim card, which gives £10 of credit and buy the £25 goodybag.
Do you only get the £10 free IF you buy the goodybag? I've seen other posters mention getting £5 free credit with a fre SIM. Yet GiffGaff's website doesn't mention anything at all about free credit.
Does anyone else offer free credit on a reasonable ppm PAYG tarrif?

Way it works if i as a Giffgaff user send you a link and you join through that link on your first payment you get an automatic free £5 of credit added .
Thats the way it worked for me joining anyway joined via a members link received sim activated and paid in £20 statement then read £25 .

If someone sends you a giffgaff sim, you have to activate it by adding at least £10 of credit on to it, then a little later giffgaff add the free £5 credit. The free credit is only if someone sends you a sim, if you ask giffgaff for one directly you don't get it. The person who send you one also gets at least £5 in some form on other, thats why you see people posting links with click here for a sim.
So a £10 outlay gives you £15 of credit. You can just use that £15 credit for calls/text/internet or if you use your phone a lot you can use your credit to buy a "bag", which gives you various amounts of mins/text/internet for a month.
I personally don't bother with "bags" since I dont use the phone enough to justify it, as my monthly summary email confirms is the best choice for me0
