You are not paying 4.803p per kWh if you average your usage out over a quarter.
it varies depending on how much you use per day.
For the first 12.52 kWh a day you pay 4.803 and the rest you pay 2.708p
If you used 7000kWh of gas in 91 days you would pay £213.51 made up of £54.90 for 1143 kWh and £158.61 for 5857 kWh so for 1 kWh you would pay £213.51/7000 which is 3.05p per kWh
If you use only 1143 kWh in the summer quarter then you pay 4.803 per kWh
1143 at £54.90 which is 4.803p per kWh
What I do is take my yearly cost and divide by my yearly usage to give an average.0
