Sorry to spoil your fun guys, but if you have used these codes and they don't work you now need to produce the original email/letter that they were sent out in.

If you can't no refund.

Just tried it myself with 2QQTVV6GCX2H it came up used too many times or something to that effect phoned up and they asked for original email. Looks like they have become wise to this site.

I thought you could only use them once per registered person anyway, have ya been trying to use them more than this ?

Maybe they have, however its not this site or the people on it that make up these codes , they are readily available all over the net with a bit of surfing anyone could find them

Thanks for the warning then, however you didnt answer my first question about how many times you had tried to use each code ?

  • Sorry missed that post, no only tried it once. The guy I spoke to said something about it having reached it's limit, but if I had the letter it was sent out in I could post it in and they would refund the £15.

Too bad I don't have the letter.

Very true.;) I recently questioned a web site that lists codes for Tesco.com and other retail outlets on a daily basis and they insisted they are "affiliated to Tesco" and it's all above board.

I've read on another forum that when you get "this code has been used a maximum number of times" for Tesco.com (i.e. it won't let you submit a code), there are only so many times a code can be submitted in a day and, if you try again the next day, you might be more successful. Never tried this, so don't know if it's true or not.

Maybe we should not risk 'phoning them to further arouse suspicion and just try another code instead, although I can't see that they don't realise what's going on:confused:

  • There is something in T&C about the validity of codes found on internet sites, or being transferred to other people, and that we should only use those that have actually been sent to us via email or letter with our clubcard points so I don't think it's a good idea to rock the boat or complain about codes/vouchers not working or they might just pull the plug on the lot :(

It would be a crying shame if a few greedy people ruined it for those of us who have come to rely on the £5-£10 a week we can save using the codes, rather than blatantly abuse the system to get as much as we can out of them.

And talking of vouchers, or rather coupons (sorry if this is a bit OT) but I handed a Birds Eye coupon worth £5 to Tesco's delivery driver a couple of weeks ago and I've heard nothing since, neither a credit to my account or return of the coupon if it can't be used. What is the usual policy on these? I don't want to lose the £5 as I received that for a genuine complaint to BE about one of their products

  • If they decide not to let you use the codes, do they put the order through anyway? Just filled basket with £50 worth of stuff, applied one of the £15 codes which it shows as being taken off but then when I put my card details in, I made a mistake so the next screen showed the error but also then came up as "you have some evouchers that cannot be used with this order". I daren't put the credit card details in correctly now in case it just goes through and charges me the full amount. I wouldn't be shopping at tesco by choice if it wasn't for the discount so if it's going to charge me full amount I'd rather go to Asda.

I totally agree with this, i also think people who use a £15 code to order £16 of goods is blatantly abusing the system too. It will only go on so long before the lot's stopped.
