We got Ronseal from B&Q and put 2 coats on last year and it's already fading!!! Hubby and I think it's simply because the fences were never re-painted before we moved in."Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye

Asda are doing 7.5l of woodstain stuff, it comes in reddish-brown & dark brown.
There's a thread about it here - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/7-5-ltr-tubs-wood-stain-only-4-asda/9128480 -

i have used the same stuff
its thinner as they expect people to spray it on these days ( sad but true ) as i had a lengthy chat with the CS and then passed my details to the CS dept of the whole focus name
i gave my allotment shed 3 coats 2 years ago, it has faded and needs to be done again0 -
I seen some in B&M bargains, I cant remember the price but it was cheap. sure it was 4.99............. homebase has this, and it gets a good review........... Timber Care Dark Oak
Took this from HDUK.......Having just been to Adsa Farnborough, I notice that these are in fact 7.5 ltre size for £4 and not 5 litre as posted. Suggest op updates post. Excellent value....thanks to op....

you used loads of the stuff by using those spays:eek:
I think when they changed the laws a few years back, i think nearly all fence paint is water based now....and it doesnt last like it used to......Work to live= not live to work0 -

I picked up 5 liter tubs of ronseal timbercare paint on stuff last year from Home Bargains, at a bargain price I might add. It was twice the price in B&Q. If there is a store local to you it could be worth giving them a ring. Also noticed they had ronseal decking treatment the other day. HTH0
