I have been with BT since Nov last year and touch wood have had no troubles, but a letter I got yesterday has spoilt it, it may seem trivial but it upset my wife. The letter was for a final bill of £4.99 that if not paid right away (their words) they will pass the debt to an independent debt collection agency which will affect my credit rating. Strange thing is I pay by direct debit and at the moment I am £13 88 in credit. I did recieve a cheque from them last week for £4.99 which I have not a clue what for but I put it in the bank anyway. Speaking to a BT advisor he/she told me to forget the letter and he would sort out the problem, I then asked why are there 2 account numbers one on the letter and one on my online account, after a moment he said its a BT error forget it, he may be able to forget it but my wife (not a youngster) can not. Would be nice to get an apology from BT but we can live and learn.
PS and I thought tiscali talk/talk had their problems (my last isp).

Never mind an apology, what you want is a letter negating the original bill.0
