*Free range meat - if I am going to eat it I think it is at least fair it had a good life. To all those who eat "happy" chickens please think about only eating free range pork. Pigs are so intelligent that they really suffer in bad conditions and the standard of welfare of pigs raised outside the UK is shockingly low, so you can support British farmers too. The RSPCA or Compassion in world farming have lots of info;
*organic/fair traded stuff -not for any health benefits but because I care about the environment and intensive farming destroys so much. Like Katsu said, I feel we should put our money where our principles are;

Tony and Guy hair cuts (for me)
same for me - the guy who cuts my hair is a miracle worker, and he does such a good job I can easily go at least 10-12 weeks between cuts. Anything else is a false economy because the cut doesn't last so well so I have to go more frequentlyknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Hmm, I have to say that I will 'scrimp' on just about anything in that I will always look out for a better deal and I don't give a tinkers about sticking with a brand that I love and won't try something else. I definately spend money on myself and I see no reason to live like I'm a pauper if I'm not (I hold to the 'you're a long time dead' philosophy) but as I can very happily have a good time on what many would consider a limited budget I get the best of both worlds.
My biggest constant indulgence would be my gym. Our corporate membership is £76 a month and work subsidises this down to £45, but they would do the same if I went to a cheaper gym so I'm paying for the luxery of going to a very very good one.Mini Challenge - Halve 2nd Mortgage by Year EndStarting: £10,000 Currently £8,142.62£3,142.62 to go!0 -

Hi all, i've really enjoyed reading this thread

When I saw the title one of the things that popped into my head was toilet rolls but then I thought 'hmm, should i share that, might I get laughed at?' but then... i read the thread and can see that so many of you have also said toilets rolls too:rotfl:
The two things I really won't compromise on are- monthly massages (sometimes more than once a month:o)
- gas bills, I can't bear to be cold and would rather have a higher heating bill than wear lots of clothes and feel uncomfortable
