Good question. I've had this discussion with some people at work. If we're talking supermarket stuff then it has to be teabags - I must have a decent cuppa lol.

Apart from that, my getaway breaks are important to me, love visiting new places either in UK or overseas. But wherever I go I always look for deals on flights, hostels, restaurants, hotels, hire cars, Nat express / Megabus, everything. Went to London for the weekend in January and almost everything we did and ate was courtesy of Groupon or KGB deals ;)

Chicken. I will never buy chickens that have lived an unhappy life.
  • The annual two weeks in the sun each August. Everything else I can manage without. I love to socialise but am happy to do that at home.

Washing powder and conditioner (I blame my mum, she has passed down her OCD thing about clean washing onto me)

Nice white wine (but I'm talking a fiver a bottle rather than fifty quid)

My annual trip to Halki (without my two teenage boys. Heaven on a plate, I will never give it up)

Apart from that, I will search out the cheapest, best value stuff that I can. Good post, btw.

  • Organic food for DD, she has mostly organic fruit and veg and only organic meat, her food is as much as mine, DH & the dog put together! Also tea, sky tv (although I only have the basic package) and milk from the milkman, it just tastes so much nicer. :-)

    For me:

Good quality meat - I would rather have it less often than buy poor quality

Fresh fruit and veg (though we do grow some)

    Decent coffee

    Good bread and proper butter

    Nice cheese

Nice white wine (again the fiver a bottle variety

Oh dear that is rather a lot, isn't it? I don't mind value tinned veg, loo rolls, kitchen rolls, cleaning products etc though, and am not bothered about holidays (have to go away enough for work).
