Probably but i would be reading the reviews as a couple more of the budget range Android phones due for release .

why not get a samsung galaxy s , £250 is about what that is and it was top of the line last year.0

I looked into that when I first heard about it (am still waiting for a decent offer that seems worth it, nothing has appealed to me yet and its been nearly 2 months!).
The handsets specs didn't look all that, not really much faster (which for me is an issue as I hate waiting for anything least of all things to down or upload). I also compared it to the Desire, not the HD version and the Desire still looked better, the HD obviously better then that.
This I looked at about a month ago so if any of the phone specs have changed since I may have a different opinion, however I doubt they changed anything.
Obviously everyone is going to come here, post about the SanFrancisco and etc but it really depends on what your looking for and what you expect from a handset.
What are you looking for with a new handset?0 -
Well I think the Wildfire (S) looks nicer than the San Fran and is more compact.0

HTC sensation £500
HTC wildfire S £230
me thinks people looking at the wildfire s won't be looking at the sensation.
as for other cheap android phones coming out, the ZTE Skate is one option, it has android 2.3 and a 4.3 inch screen with a resolution higher than the wildfire S, it also has a faster CPU it is expected to be £150-£200 sim free.0 -
BUT to add you can go buy a 2nd hand Google Nexus One or a 2nd hand HTC desire for about £200-£230 now (at CEX), the nexus one has gingerbread already and the desire is getting it in the summer.
and the big difference is these phones both support adobe flash so you can play flash videos and games in the browser.
both are not the flagship phones they once were, but they both still beat all budget android phones and personally I would get a 2nd hand one of these over the Wildfire S purely because you're getting a better higher range phone for your money. (and both are heavily popular in the hackers world so you can mod them however you want with custom ROMs ect (if you were so inclined))0 -
But, if it's second hand you get no warranty and how long is it going to last before something goes wrong? At least with the Wildfire S you're getting a new product with warranty and full support from the manufacturer. Who plays flash games anyway? I always have flashblock on when I use my PC let alone my mobile. Flash is a pain in the rectum.0

you do get a 1 year warranty with CEX, though I do admit you don't get that new [STRIKE]car[/STRIKE] phone smell.0
