10 yo Son has has a heart murmur - how worried should I be?
Comments
-
DD was diagnosed with a heart murmur 6 weeks old.
Turned out that a valve that should have closed at birth didn't, and at 18 months she had a 2 night stay in Birmingham Children's hospital where they put a titanium valve in her heart, threaded up via her arteries. The blood coagulates round it as she grows to plug the gap.
She's now 4 and you would never know there were heart problems - she still sees the consultant yearly for check ups, but she's as sporty as the rest of her peers. She really enjoyed her last ECG and ultrasound as she now has a bit of understanding what was going on and what she was seeing on the TV.
Hope the ECG outcome is a positive one for you and yours.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
