    Good morning everyone,
Major cleaning and tidying this morning to remove CHAOS as we have friends coming for lunch. DD2 is cooking a 3 course meal but is wanting total support:)

So DW on but no WM, that will have to wait until tomorrow.

HH my DS has the wanderlust too. I thought he was going to move to Australia or Canada but in the end has seemed to have settled with one foot in UK and the other in Europe. We don't get to see him that often but had he emigrated I think there would be years between visits. Travelling to Europe whilst not cheap, is cheaper, quicker and easier than Australia, thank goodness:) I have a couple of friends whose children emigrated and they've ended up following, but that entails leaving ageing parents behind. Very difficult. I am very lucky that my DD1 has no such wish and lives locally:)

Dinner is happening at lunchtime today and is not OS. DD2 has expensive tastes for a poverty stricken student:)

Rightio, off to spruce up the dump!
Happy Friday peeps, hugs to those who need or want them.
    Cheers m'dears, Silver x

    Morning all

Dull and overcast here this morning, not sure about the temperature as I've not ventured outside yet.

DH up and off to work but not stupid early o'clock. Had an awful night fell asleep on the sofa and woke at midnight, went to bed couldn't sleep so got up at 1.30am, had a hot drink, watched tv, came on pc, went back to bed at 5am, slept until 7.30am - will probably feel awful later!

Dinner last night was gammon, egg, mash and peas with onion and chive sauce - delish. Went out for a bike ride with the boys yesterday afternoon, when we got back, I then sorted the garden, planted some more potatoes, got lots of seeds planted into pots and trays, will have to see how it grows!

Tonight we're having smoked sausage pasta with creme fraiche, will serve with garlic bread. Will be heading to the bank, then shopping. When I get back I will be making a birthday cake for my dad, will be taking it round later. WM just finished to will be putting that on the line in a mo.

Must crack on otherwise nothing will get done.

    Have a great Friday everyone.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Bargainbird I am a secret blogger ;) I have been blogging for about four years, but I only recently "came out" on MSE :rotfl: I have about 600 followers, but I keep it very separate from here, as it is not really about OS at all!

Good Morning chums, well it looks dry and bright out at the moment.Took the boys to see 'Rio' yesterday and we all enjoyed it. Today I am making an apple sponge cake for my sis-in-law who is coning to lunch ,we shall probably spend the day putting the world to rights.
I will have to do some shopping shortly as I can't put it off much longer but its been almost a week without going near a shop so once I have been I won't need to go for awhile.I hate food shopping especially during the holidays as it gets so crowded, but I have a list of stuff to get so if I get there before the rush it won't be too bad.Hope everyone is having a nice week.I must remeber to buy some eggs for the four youngest grandchildren The three eldest are grown up now so past the 'easter bunny' stage.Right time for some caffeine I think
    take care all

I meant the thing about SKy :rotfl: not about my blog. I am keeping that to myself ;) I think a few people from MSe are people I connect with in blogland though, as they are very familiar.

    morning all!

day off:j and my Mum's coming this afternoon too:j looking forward to seeing her.

Should really do some more painting but have no enthusiasm at all and feel more in a cleaning mood. Have cleaned behind the fridge, cooker and WM so far. If it doesn't rain I'm going to do the downstairs windows too.
Need to pop into town to do a few jobs and check Dad's grave is tidy and got some nice fresh flowers on.

DS2 is off out for a meal tonight with his GF and her family as she's 19 today. She's off to London for a week tomorrow with a friend who is at Kingston Uni so he'll be as miserable as sin until she gets back no doubt.

JackieG - I didn't know about your blog either! point us in the right direction!:)

(((hugs))) to BB abd Flutterby x

have a great day all x

    Good Morning Everyone

Weather looks ok here, no sunshine at the moment but here's hoping.

Have a busy day today, got up late again - must get out of that habit! And the time seems to go nowhere.

Have a maths tutor coming over for DD at 11. Then will be dropping DD at her friends where she is staying all weekend. Need to then pop over to mums as its my Stepdads Birthday.

Managed to clear the ironing pile yesterday and the house is reasonable but my office work is very behind :( Hopefully DS will occupy himself over the weekend and I can catch up.

Trying Chococlare's sticky chicken tonight, think will have it with potato salad and pasta salad.

Better get going its already gone 9:eek:

    Have a great day.x
