Does anyone know where I can get cheap flour for bread making? At £1 for 1.5kg in Tesco it is no cheaper than buying bread from the supermarket. Whilst homemade bread obviously tastes better I need to save money too!
Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x
EDIT-Back on the quest, I've been away too long!

I make mine with bread flour, dried yeast, little bit of sugar and salt, water. Do you have to add anything extra if you make with normal plain flour?0 -

Well it is as 1.5kg will make 3 decent sized loaves and decent bread is well over £1 per loaf.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

TESCO STRONG WHITE BREAD FLOUR 1.5KG is £1.24 but ASDA comparison is 68p.
If you buy from Tesco then type in your details from your receipt here: Tesco Price Check
You will get an online voucher within 36 hours for Double the Difference for £1.12 which means that your net cost will be 12p!!

I also use the plain flour for bread many times. Currently about 52p for 1.5kg.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

I have tried some of the more expensive flours, without much success. Have changed to Lidl bread flour and have great success with it every time. It has just gone up from 60p for 1.5kgs to 69p, but still an excellent buy.MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:0
