names for flight tickets help

trying to book a flight and they are asking me to put in your name as it appears on your passport, on the booking form it just says firstname/surname. does that mean i have to put all my names on there or will just my first name and my surname be ok. my daughter got 2 middle names along with her first, surely i havn't got to put them all in. i'm sure last yr i only gave the firstname and surname. but it was with a differant airline.

thanks

If it says firstname/surname, that's all you need to enter.

You may find that there is insufficient character space to enter the middle names even if you wanted to.

    Gilfachboy,

what it means is that it wants the spelling of the first / surname exactly as your passport, and not what you may be known as - ie Anthony, as opposed to Tony, Steven as opposed to Steve. Some people are also known to others by their middle names, as opposed to their first names.

As far as middle names, some airlines may require this at a later stage, depending on airline / destination, to comply with cturrent security legislation.

    Cheers
