Depends if your consumption on the correct meter is higher or lower than the wrong meter.

You could get a rebate or a demand for more money; although it is possible they might reduce or write off any money you owe as a goodwill gesture.

Brad..What have UU said ? Have they asked you to give them 2 meter readings a week or so apart ?

Cos they need to work out your adc (average daily consumption) before doing anything else. You might well get a refund if you have used less then you were being billed for but please be careful and don't try and use less for that week as they will cotton on once they start reading your meter.
If you have used more then as Cardew has said they might reduce the bill or write it off but it would depend on why they had the wrong meter..ie was it their fault or a builders or sometimes it is the householder who has supplied the wrong msn ( not saying you have but it does happen)

I once had a new build customer ( I don't work for a water company but did work for a company that did new builds / new supplies etc) who called to complain cos his water meter was spinning and the bill was going to be to high, he had called the water company and they couldn't help as the msn he gave did not match anything he supplied so they told him to get on to us..When I checked the details he was giving it was his gas meter and spinning cos his heating / water / gas fired stove were all on (which he confirmed).
He wouldn't have it that the meter he was looking at wasn't his water meter though.
