in Credit cards
I have been playing the credit card tart game and have 2 cleared cards that I haven't closed. How do I go about it? If I write to them do I have to return the cards or just destroy them?
Also, where do I get addresses from? I haven't kept any of the paperwork.
Thanks

I call them on the phone (google for the phone numbers).
Then I cut up the card into small pieces.
I check my credit report now and again to make sure it's done.0 -

Do you pay for your credit report? I did the free trial with experian a few years ago so would now need to pay if I did it?0 -
Also, I have space on my current card for more balance transfers at 0% Can I transfer balance from my husband's card or not as it's different name.
Can't transfer to current account else would have done it that way. He's been late on a couple of payments lately so probably couldn't get a new card.0 -
Yes, but it's only £2 for a statutory report.Flamingo80 wrote: »I did the free trial with experian a few years ago so would now need to pay if I did it?

Wouldn't they still ring me up and ask? Surely these things are monitored by real people?0 -
Not in my experience.Flamingo80 wrote: »Wouldn't they still ring me up and ask?
I don't know, but I wouldn't think every single BT request is investigated by "real people".Surely these things are monitored by real people?0 -

Statutory credit reports are only £2 a ago, which isn't the end of world if you're only doing it every 6 months.
You can only do the free trial once.
Don't get it too soon as it can take a few months to get updated with a cancellation.
The lenders only update once a month, not in real time.0 -

The statutory reports from Experian and Equifax are valid for queries, including settled status updates, on existing accounts for 90 days.
I never seem to get much luck with them.
When I call them they tell me they can only see what's on the original report.
It seems to vary what you are told.0
