It is 14.16 UTC or GMT ...We are currently in BST which is UTC+1 or GMT+1

You still get 7 hours at night rates. Usually 1:00 to 8:00 UTC.

Coordinated Universal Time it's the same as GMT but without the daylight savings. All computers know the time in this format and change the time displayed depending on local time. The clocks in timers don't automatically change they will always read the same time throughout the year. We are now in BST which is British Summer Time so GMT+1.

The time on your meter is radio controlled by the atomic clock at Rugby, it is not manually set up.

Yes it's right...The time now in UTC is 14:56 but you and me know that as 15:56...as it's summer...i.e 14:56 plus 1 hour.

You try figuring out the local time where my family is in Melbourne, Australia its UTC+10 there now when we are in UTC+1 (i.e 9 hours different) but in summer(in Australia) it's UTC+11 in Oz but we are on normal UTC(GMT) time. (i.e 11 hours difference.) well confusing.
