Repair garage want payment after 6 years !
Options
I hope you can help !
In 2005 i booked my Lotus into a garage for some repairs. The garage agreed to carry out the work and bring the car up to road worthiness. On numerous visits and calls the work seemed to be non existent and i felt the car was being used as a donor for parts for their insurance work(rare car). After 6 years of having the car they have asked for payment of works carried out via a solicitor..No previous contact has been made by themselves as to the car being ready for collection and we still live in the same house and same telephone number.
Any ideas or advice regarding the legal aspect would be greatfull.

A garage has had your car for 6 years?

This has got to be a wind up ? They've had the car for 6 years and you've not done anything about it before now ?0
-
Did you never chase it up.
Do they still have your car and is it repaired.
Not really sure if this is a wind up or not.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I amYou scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0 -
If this isn't a wind up, and more than 6 years have passed, then there is no legal requirement to pay this money. But you then you probably won't get your car back if you don't pay up....."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

6 years is a tad.... excessive a length of time to have a car. I'd guess you were stroing it there as well maybe, or garage were friends?0

Is it finished then?0

What do trolls get out of it?
Our responses I guess gives them some kind of kick0 -
I think you have all mistaken poor use of English and bad grammar, for a troll. I will assume the OP means that it was six years ago that they had the car, not that they have had the car for six years.
Paneraicp:
A very important question: What was the exact date the alleged debt was raised. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Thats not how it reads, and if the car was used for donor parts, how was the OP driving it around with parts missing0
