Have you tried removing the cylinder (assuming it's a eurolock?). Is it a multipoint locking door? Have you tested the locking mechanism with the door open?

If the key won't turn you will not be able to remove the cylinder, you need to turn the cylinder (to line up the cam with the profile of the MPL mech inside the door) for the cylinder to come out.
If the MPL has failed and the cylinder needs to be removed to renew the MPL the cylinder may have to be snapped to remove it from the door.
Replacing the MPL is not a hard job to do but identifying the correct mech could prove to be difficult for a DIYer.
I would advise you get someone with a bit of experience to have a look, failing that you may have to pay for a tradesman.

I am a locksmith. It sounds like the gearbox has broken, I see plenty of them that have gone wrong.

You do not have to snap the euro cylinder to remove it, any decent locksmith can manipulate it so it can be removed. You have to make sure you get the right gearbox for your mpl or it will not fit.

    Contact a locksmith.

Not all but some of the cams can be turned by using a tool which gets hold of the cam wheel, allowing you to turn it. If the barrel is loose in the door the cam wheel can strike the gearbox mech not allowing it to move. I did a lock last sunday where I had to move the barrel approx 1-2mm before tightening so it would work correctly. If you have no other choice than to snap the lock then snap it, I try as many options as I can before I snap any locks.
