Motorola v3 unlock/increase memory

Hi, i have just bought a motorola v3 - Motorola would never be my first choice of phone but this one was offered to me cheap and after various fiascos trying to get hold of an e900 i've decided this will do me until the time comes around for my upgrade...

anyway, whats the best way of unlocking it? There are various people on ebay selling the software - are these safe or not?

also, the phone has got a really small memory capacity - is there anything i can do to increase this?

there is a flash that can increase the memory for video

you maybe able to unlock it yourself depending on the s/w version

but it may be safer to get it unlocked and reflashed at the same time by a pro

have you tried other sims in it. I had mine for a year before I found out it wa actually sim free.
