Warm Front, the Government scheme for providing insulation and central heating has re-opened for applications. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Environmentandgreenerliving/Energyandwatersaving/Energygrants/DG_10018661?utm_source=http%3a%2f%2fcel_group.ctml2.com%2fcel_grouplz%2f&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Warm+front+announcement&utm_term=News+Alert%3a+Warm+Front+scheme+open+for+applications&utm_content=34950
It has changed significantly however. I receive a non-means tested benefit (Disability Living Allowance) along with Disabled Person's Working Tax Credit and just had my central heating (along with unsafe boiler) replaced under last year's scheme. :money:
It's now directed solely at those on income related benefits, without working central heating or whose houses are poorly insulated.
Do apply early if you think you are eligible - much better to get it done in the warm summer months and I think the pot of money will run out earlier this year.

Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
