2 for 1 mobile phone????
Good morning all,
I just wanted to ask where I stand 'legally' on something...not morally lol
I ordered a new contract phone for my husband with orange and had it added to my existing orange account. I ordered an orange san francisco paymonthly £10/month (he's a very low user lol). Order went through fine and delivery was originally for Monday but I phoned up yesterday and asked if it could be changed for today...which they did.
I just had the order delivered and they have sent me 2 phones in seperate bags.....I only ever received one email confirmation with only 1 phone ordered on it.
I went and checked the courier's website and tracked my delivery where it says...order delivered and number of parcels....1.
So.. where do I stand? Have i got a bonus phone;). Opinions gratefully received.
Thanks

phone Orange and tell them before you get charged for the second orderIts not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

They will notice at some point. Best to tell them now.0

I was once sent 3 from O2 and kept them all free of charge!0

Thanks for replies so far....just an update.....
I checked out paper work with both deliveries....different customer order number on one order to my 'official' order...so I went to orange order tracking and put in the number and got the message......
The number you entered is not a valid Orange Shop order number. Please try again

watch that karma the customer who should be getting the phone may be hoping it comes and back and bites you but then with your user name you obviously believe karma only goes one way?Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

good fortune to you but could be trouble for the person who made the mistake and sent out two phones but thats okay because you have had your fair share of bad stuff?
Sorry but although you say you don't want to discuss the moral aspect, the morally correct thing to do is to contact Orange and let them know. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

Both legally and morally you are in the wrong if you keep the phone. One of the devices was obviously sent to you in error and therefore cannot be considered as a "free gift". It's down to your conscience what you do about it.If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

But neither should Karma67 have to go to expense or trouble to sort out the confusion. A recorded delivery letter (not email) to orange giving 14 days to make arrangements to collect the handset entirely at their cost, otherwise it will be treated as unsolicited goods. That puts the onus on orange, and if/when they notice you can state that you gave them the chance.0
