Housing Benefit staff and New Deal staff

This thread may be helpful to people if they read the comments of those who have responded to you especially if they are/were benefit staff, but it will not be helpful to people if they follow alot of your suggestions.

Aitch, it's a bit of a contradiction that you now say that you were "on very good terms with most to the point of being friendly" but you started the thread with "Despite this experienc I have still found that Housing Benefit staff and New Deal staff, with the occassional exception, are bureaucratic bullies."

So on the one hand, you now say most are ok, but you started with all but a few exceptions being bureaucratic bullies. Perhaps that explains why some people suggested that your comments lacked balance, as you now seem to be admitting, and perhaps in turn that did suggest that your advice was not necessarily sound?
