I agree, they are amazing, I've had my 3gs for nearly two years and I'm not a tiny bit bored with it. I use it all the time and have to charge it twice a day! It's the best thing I've ever purchased, I use it more than my laptop now.

What are the best (or life changing) things about this phone?
I am seriously torn at the moment between this and nokia n8. I like the idea of the 12mp camera and the ovi mapping for n8. I know several people with iphones (and have ipod touch myself) and love some of the apps. I don't know anyone with n8 and so really can't compare equally. I have looked at comparisons on youtube and the iphone looks a much smoother phone.

Did anyone else consider n8? Why did you choose iphone over n8?

    Any comments gratefully received.
    Thank you

Yes, I-Phones are life changing. You'll now be constantly looking for a power outlet to charge the d*mn thing 24/7.

Battery was a big improvement on iphone 4.

I used to have a HTC Desire and it would use 60% a day sat on the side at work.

    iPhone 4: Usage 11 hours 57 minutes
    Standby 2 days 3 hours

And i still have 16% left.

Yeah im running for mah chargers...
  • Glad you like it. Worth pointing out like in those Radio Times adverts long ago, other handsets allow you to run apps and play Sudoku, including your Blackberry!

Some other handsets will even allow you to watch videos in flash out of the box.

I'm going to show my age now and say that I much prefer doing SuDoku on paper.

  • Let's be honest, anyone who truly finds a phone - any phone - "life changing" can't have had much of a life in the first place.

Bit like the person who has to post on an internet forum to rain on their parade?

A friend of mine has recently qualified to have a guide dog and as a result has experienced true independance for the first time in his life. That's truly life changing....no phone will ever do that!!

im sure the OP used 'life changing' as a Metaphor to show his/her happiness of getting his/her 'new toy' as im sure you are all excited and happy when you get new toys and gadgets. Not truly 'life changing'.

And whilst were on the topic, i must say, ive been a member on this site but for 4 years, i dont often post but i read with interest, and the comments that some of you are making lately are down right nasty, horrible and incredibly !!!!!y! this is supposed to be a forum for help, advice and to share things. I think you all should read what you write back to yourselves before you press submit and ask yourself if you would like to read that response to a post you have made!!!!
