Car hire at alicante without a credit card HELP

Hi
We are traveling to alicante in may and don't have a credit card, we only have a debit card or cash for payment.
Does anyone know of a car hire company that we can use. Who are reliable and we wont have to Que for hours to get the car etc.

Hope someone can help

Thanks

Try one of the brokers who take payment up front, such as Holiday Autos or similar. You will probably need to take their full excess waiver package to ensure that they don't get stuck with a potentially unpaid charge at the end of the rental, but worth a shot.
  • Hi
I have tried goldcar since my thread but was a bit concerned as other people have written to avoid them.
    Thanks for your reply.

    Hi,

    I can recommend http://www.opencar.es/en/index.php

Their service is good. No queing at a desk. Tell them your flight details and they will meet and greet you after you clear arrivals @ Alicante. No lengthly queing when you drop off either.
Rates are very competitive and no hidden extra charges.
You can book using a debit card on line or by phone. They speak excellent english, (better than me LOL).
I doubt any reputable car hire company would accept cash on arrival.
