Advice on getting into IT after redundincy

By any chance have any one heard a trustable website through which I can work online for typing, data entry, things like that?
I found many websites by searching online, but I am afraid it may be a scam and even some of the websites ask for money to become a member.
I was thinking to do something while I am looking for a proper job after I have been made redundant.
If soemone works in a web and can recommend it, then I would like to go ahead.
Please tell me if anyone have any idea.
thanks very mUch0 -
If you want an online word processor/spreadsheet then a free one is Google Docs http://docs.google.com/ which is perfectly OK. Works with all Microsoft documents. You do need to sign up for a Google account, but this is free too. Works in any web browser and you can sign on from anywhere.
If you want a free offline package then go with Open Office http://www.openoffice.org/. There is a portable version of this http://portableapps.com/apps/office/openoffice_portable
which means you can put it on a memory stick, run it from there and all your settings go around with you.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

A very good call. Although I'm personally thinking of Canada. If anyone's interested then on http://www.workpermit.com/ there is a very good points calculator to see if you'd be let in.
The UK really is a bit !!!!!! isn't it..... :mad:Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

Sorry to be pedantic, but how is that not racist, exactly? :question:Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

Just to highlight that IT really isn't the goldmine it once was, the company I work for (a top 5 law firm in the UK) has this week announced that it is making upto 20 redundancies within the IT dept... made up of people from the server and infrastructure team...0

Undertaker. Ideal in many ways -
Continued demand
Not many illegals clamouring to get into the trade
Impossible to offshore to a Mumbia call-centre
Good money (£1000s charged for a funeral now)
Work stays within your community (not being racist, but who would want an undertaker of colour having his hands all over Gran? )
I find your post both racist and offensive and, as such, I have reported it.
My elderly aunt (who happens to be white) has carers coming to help her three times a day. The wonderful people who do this job are of all races and I would guess religions too. All of them (with one exception) have been fantastic and she and I would not hesitate to allow them to help her in any way (including bathing her). The only carer we have had any problems with (who actually stole from the 87 year old frail lady living in a tiny flat on a basic pension she was being paid to help) was white!
When the time comes, I couldn't care less what colour the undertakers are as long as they treat my aunt with the care and dignity she deserves. I think we could learn a great deal from other cultures about how to respect our elderly relatives!“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

Oh christ, get off your high horse, he was taking the pish. And was making quite a valid point in some parts of the country.0
