Get married invite all your guests to reception at Ikea, have a whip around beforehand to help pay for the food bill. Get lots of presents too and buy all your furniture with the one receipt.

I did see a Bridal party at McDonalds as we drove by for petrol next door. Ikea has to be a step up

Does this only apply to furniture, or could a receipt with a smaller value be used to buy an item for the kitchen such as glasses, cookware, or cutlery etc?

did this last time as i was going to buy some kitchen stuff anyway.
a friend of a friend works for the Ikea waitress team and picks up the recipts that diners haven't taken with them. she's done quite nicely out of it!!!!

It is valid on anything in the main shop, I bought candles, candle vase and candle sand as a gift with mine.

Thanks Lawrie, that means I can treat myself to a few smaller bits and bobs without having to subject the family to too much of Ikea's culinary delights, ha haaa.
Do you just take your receipt to the normal cash desk on the way out of the store?

You have to ask for the voucher. It has to be verified by the member of staff at the till in the cafe.

I wasn't offered a voucher when I was in there last weekend.....

I've just checked with customer services by phone and they said that it will be OK as long as the till receipt is within the dates of the offer running in the store (but I haven't actually tested this yet obviously because they are not redeemable until May if I remember right).

they also indicated that it's store specific in that the voucher/receipt can only be deducted from purchase in the same store the food was consumed (in response to an earlier query).
