One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Ooo thank you - off to look on Amazon - i haven't done lemon in the microwave but have done a small pot of water with ecover washing up liquid in it - works well. Will try the lemon.

I buy fresh lemons, slice them and freeze them so i always have them in.

I bought lemon juice but i don't think that i used it properly, it left streaks all over everything. I have used citric acid to clean the shower etc - my new shower which is an over the bath shower really makes a mess - never had any problems with the cubicle shower but i have this pink stuff issue, it does wipe off but it seems to appear after every two or these uses.

    Love my microfibre cloths.

Thank you for all of those tips.

Well, the site does say the products are biodegradable and non-toxic, so that's not too bad, and you can't really blame the ladies for wanting to cash in a bit on their fame. Doesn't last for ever, so they might as well make their money while they can.

I'm just surprised there's someone out there who hadn't seen the programme before! I watch it religiously. I start out feeling very smug that no matter ho bad my house is, it wil never, never be a fraction as bad as the one on the screen. Then 5 minute or so into it, I start noticing the cobweb in the corner, and the dust bunny in front of the TV ... and before it ends, I've got duster and mop in hand and am just waiting for the programme to finish till I start using them!
  • I have heard of it and seen snippits but never watched it all the way through - i don't get time to watch a lot of telly and being honest if it isn't my husbands sort of show we don't get to watch it - as it is, he has started to watch stuff like Gordon Ramsey and it was him who called me into the lounge to watch Kim and Aggie - quite refreshing i can tell you - anyway we both really enjoyed it so it looks like i get to watch K&A on a regular basis ;-)

I have to say that i wasn't surprised that house was so dirty - although i do think that they looked like the could afford cleaners - there's no way that women could have kept on top of a home so big - actually i thought that it was quite tidy - i felt sorry for her because she wasn't getting any help. Seems familiar.

My home has about 19 different rooms or spaces to be cleaned, it is currently being renovated so it is filthy and really getting me down - the worse it gets the worse i get at cleaning - it's like the forth bridge. I am sure that K&A would come and sort my house out but i'd be too ashamed to go on telly even thought the dust and muck is due to all the building. When it's all done i will have even more spaces to keep on top of - not sure that it's possible - oh why did we buy a large old house? feeling tempted to sell up to buy a new reasonably sized house with lovely clean everything.

I need their book and need some inspiration to get on top of the dust which shows up too many cobwebs;-( Thankfully i don't have bird muck and i hope that i don't have anything nasty like salmonella - lots of spiders but no bats, well not inside anyway.

Kim has written her autobiography called "Unbeaten" It's all about her abusive childhood and late rise to fame and fortune, it's a really good read and shows there's far more to her than long nails and big earings! If you haven't read it yet I recomend it! I had originally put a copy on my Christmas Wish list but found it at my local library a few weeks ago. I'm off for a gander at their QVC line now. LOL
