Tell us some more details, e.g. what's happened, what you've done so far, and we'll try to help.

  • Ofgem is the regulator for the gas and electricity sector.

They're usually a last resort though for consumer complaints (as issues with regulators tend to move slowly). If British Gas has an alternative dispute resolution scheme (ADR), you may have to go through that first.

    Hi,

We have a utilities board that should be able to help you, so I'll move your query across there for you.

    Good luck. :)
Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Board guides are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an inappropriate or illegal post then please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. Ofgem is the regulator, as stated above, but do not deal with consumer complaints.

The Energy Ombudsman may be able to help you - dependant upon what your problem is - but, as said above, don't move particularly quickly even when they can

Consumer Focus / Consumer Direct may also be able to help you (particularly if you are under threat of disconnection)
