Water, water, not a rubbish cloth for washing, rinse it well.

Washing-up liquid is fine if you rinse properly, don't leave it on and just wipe it off, it'll rust.

Treat rust and paint chips promptly or they'll just get bigger.

Good quality wax applied properly will do a good job of keeping the value up of your vehicle.

And wash it with lots of water, not one manky bucket full.

I use Autoglym on my 10 year old car and it is fantastic. The one I use, you have to leave it on for 30 minutes and then abit of elbow grease, your car will sparkle, it's brilliant stuff.
