Sorry but no, our first house we completed in just under 3 weeks. Mainly because I harassed the lender for the mortgage offer to be sent out and I work for my conveyancing solicitor so did most of the work myself!!0

It's pretty damn good I would say.
I bought a house and offer to keys was three weeks or thereabouts (offered after May Day BH and had keys by late May BH. The house was empty, no survey, no mortgage so not really representative.
Good luck in your new home.

A friend of mine sale/purchase completed in five weeks.
We sold our investment property (empty) to another investor, so no chain and it still took eleven weeks, although both sides wanted a quick turnaround.
Having said that, we were living in Spain by then and our solicitor had to send everything by post as our e-mail had gone down.
He did send us everything more or less all at once, including things we had to sign and he said he'd fill in all the relevent details later himself.
So I suppose it wasn't too bad really.
Congratulations on your new home. Enjoy!!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

From a conveyancers point of view, No record there!! Not sure who holds that one. I had a sale go through last week in 3 weeks and a new build purchase in 3 weeks. All my new builds go through in 28 days. Best yet is my boss who did a very complicated lease in 24 hours! Don't think we hold any records but I think were pretty high up on the list for speediness!!0

My quickest, I'm an EA, was two & half days from offer being accepted to exchanging contracts. The buyer saw the the house on a Wednesday morning, offer accepted by 12 o'clock, property surveyed on the Thursday & mortgage offer issued on the Friday. His solicitor did personal searches on the Thursday & exchanged on the Friday afternoon.
Well done to you anyway potnoodle, enjoy your new home.0
