LEJC - that's so funny! I think I'm going to have to do stuff like that because i don't think a well thought purchase is going to cut it. It's time to be silly.

As a bloke, I don't really see the point in getting presents for your wedding that aren't...wedding-y...it just seems strange to me.

Something to "accessorise" with for the wedding seems best...just something to make him feel smart, so he can stand at the front with his head a little higher...a really nice pair of cufflinks (although, as above, I've already chosen my own - the suits better have double cuffs! ;)), a pocket watch to slip inside his waistcoat - or just a nice watch for his wrist will make him feel special. A new belt, wallet, hanky, socks...even a nice pair of CK boxers or something - again, just so he feels special and "at his best".

I also don't really get the point of putting the date on it - maybe for the ushers or someone - but the groom better remember, anyway! I think it's much nicer to give a nice gift to wear to the wedding "for luck" and a nice card saying how much you love him and can't wait to be his wife. He might stick the gift in a drawer and forget about it, but he'll always remember the words.

Thanks, i like the idea of the posh pants. Perhaps i could give him a little wedding day survival pack of his own - hanky, posh pants and socks, a nice new manfume and a lovely note telling him how much i'm looking forward to being his mrs. Simple and to the point.

DH bought me Miss Dior Cherie for our wedding last year - I spent hours in Boots, the assistant spent ages spraying perfume & writing the different names onto the slips for me!

He also bought me a gorgeous diamond-set watch that he gave to my BM for me to open the night before.

I gave him an engraved silver guitar pick, the silver cufflinks that my mum gave to my dad on their wedding day and a husband / wedding day card.

Love this idea. Where are they from Magicboo?

Well, very luckily, I have a friend who makes silver jewelery, so she is making them for me, but I got the idea from here where they have LOADS of different cufflink ideas-if you've got a bit of wonga!
I love the boxers idea-might see if I can find some but will definately write a nice card too now I've heard that a man would appreciate it!

After reading this, I thought I'd better get my thinking cap on for something for H2B.... then realised, we bought each other a watch, this is his, gutted that it's now reduced as wasn't when we bought it, hey ho though! (courtesy of Mr T Goldsmiths deals) This is mine, I love it!
I have a boudoir shoot booked as a surprise for him, the pics he'll get on the morning with the watch.
I also have a congratulations card/pic from LFC that I've framed for him & will give to him during the speeches. Maybe I don't need to sort anything after all!!
