any one faced similiar problems
I needed an extra 2 tickets to a gig i'm going to at the end of the month in manchester I've been bidding on lots of auctions recently and all pairs have sold for £60-£95
anyway, i bid on 4 tickets ending at 330am monday morning.
i bid £82 on the off chance no one else would set a swipe or bid at 3am.
anyway i won four tickets for £67 and £2 postage (recorded)
the tickets would have been £25-£28, so the seller unless he got them free is making a loss. he has a newish feedback of 20 (100%)
i paid next morning 7am and sent an email asking him when he planned to mail them, so i could work from home. he has still not replied to another email either. or updated the dispatch ticker
fingers crossed they come, but if he cancels the auction what recourse do i have with ebay / the seller..
i obviously don't want a refund i want the tickets

I really hope you get your tickets, fingers crossed
Your recourse is bad feedback and a complaint to ebay ... Welcome to the Internet :money:
But do get his / her contact details and give him / her a call - the direct approach is far harder to ignore. Plus lots of people forget that anyone you deal with on ebay has your home address (well hopefully if the seller has been honest).0 -
has anyone ever taken a cancelled trade to a small claims court.
I have booked hotels (non refundable) so will have to buy 2 more tickets on the open market)
In this respect i prefer viagogo for buying tickets, if a seller fails to deliver tickets, viagogo buy tickets on the open market and charge the additional cost to the seller..
i don't like the hardball calling, but will do on friday saturday if i've still not a response.0 -

I think you may have set a snipe lol0 -
i didn't actually. i bid £75.02 on the evening, and by chance woke up 10 mins before, so i upped my bid.. to £82.03 in case of snipes.. (iphones wonderfull device for ebay bidding)
and before anyone questions the pence, its amazing how many times a pence can win an auction.
yeah i use snipeswipe.com its the convenient way to win auctions, i bought 5 dollars credit back in 2002
and its still going strong.0 -

I see what you mean now, snipeswipe. I thought you had the words confused and meant aution 'swiper' rather than 'sniper' lol. Sorry!
There are some fab free snip sites out there though, Gixen being the best I have found so far0 -

I don't think there are many on here who don't set their bids to odd amounts like £5.73 etc. I always have done.0 -
If the gig is this month you are well within 45 days to make a paypal claim, so I wouldn't worry.
It's the seller that needs to worry as recorded is completely the wrong postal service to be using.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Good news, got the four tickets today. Well Chuffed
now to sell the two spare and get my 2 tickets i needed free..
I've warned the seller that he really should not post tickets with a first class stamp only, an unscrupolous ebayer bidder could claim non receipt and get a full refund.. and nothing the seller could do about it. :money:
Being honest I've emailed him and left good feedback0
