I have been looking at signing up for a contract phone, and have got a bit "bogged down"
I spoke to Orange today and was offered a Sony K800i free
and a £30 a month contract (18 mth) which will give me 300 x network minutes and 850 texts
I was also offered unlimited broadband for an extra £5 a month for 18mts
and also free uk calls and free calls to Orange mobiles from my landline
This sounds good on the face of it, but am I missing any catches.
any advice would be very welcome.

Hi Bunny,
No there are no catches to this contract. Was this as an upgrade for your Virgin tarrif one or is that as a new contract? Sounds like a retentions department offer to me. Pretty good for the price.0 -
I want to keep the virgin tariff but add a contract phone as my bills have been very high lately.
I asked them to quote me as I was looking at all networks.
I'm worried by the 18 mt part, it's too long for comfort.
I'm also not very relaxed about changing to the BB, we are in a remote area where only Virgin could get us going in the first place, and Virgin customer service has been excellent
Sound like a ditherer don't I?0 -

Not at all, you have to be sure before going ahead with it. 18 month contracts are the thing I'm afraid at the mo, yo get much better deals on them and all of the mobile companies push them.
You might want to consider Dolphin 35 though, as I seem to remember you saying in another thread you send allot of texts. For £35 you get 550 x-net mins and unlimited texts. Just a thought0 -
