Orange San Fran
HTC Wildfire
What is the cheapest I could get the Wildfire for? Will be using with giffgaff.
For me. San Francisco is a superior choice esp with a Android 2.2 custom ROM.
The screen is all the difference and the Wildfire's screen doesn't cut it for me although HTC Sense is very, very good.0 -
I wouldnt get the wildfire, the screen res is just way too low, you will notice the pixelation if you use one. also it is very expensive for what it is.
the orange san francisco stamps all over it, it has a much much higher res screen (far better for web browsing and also app support), a bigger screen, orange SF is also thiner, and is much cheaper (and can be unlocked to any network for free). it has android 2.1 but you can install custom ROMs and bring it up to 2.2 if you want or you can bring it up to the latest 2.3 gingerbread using the cyanogen mod ROM.0 -
Any more opinions?0

Apparently the HTC Wildfire S is out next month with a higher resolution screen, slightly faster processor and Android 2.30

yep the wildfire S is coming out soon and it will be £230 (quite expensive), but in the same train of thought the ZTE Skate (the ZTE Blade/orange SF biggers brother) will also be coming out end of May time, and is expected to be £150-£200 sim free (or it is possible it could be under £150 no-one knows yet) and has a 4.3" screen, an even bigger screen res than the wildfire S, a slightly faster CPU (though neither can do flash) and also has gingerbread.
