    an R not and R;)

Did you look at Tesco (they use the o2 network)

yes i did look thanks the deals looked out but the price of the handset was very expensive! 3 appear to be the best at the moment but quite a lot of mixed reviews around about them, people either love them or hate them!

I am with vodafone and have not had any problems but i was lucky enough to win an iphone 4 last year thanks to the comp forum on this site.Only word of advice would be make sure your tariff includes interent as it automatically connects to update itself which took me a month to realise till my bill arrived normally only had calls and texts but then again i admit to being a bit on the slow side when it comes to technology and assumed same tariff would do because normally would not surf on phone. Lesson learned :o

I assume you have now switched off the iphone's ability to connect to the internet at will?

thanks for that ill go have a look now, what are tmobile like for service? x

I have never had any problems with them - Also the data for the iPhone offer is fantastic - Basically unlimited data for visiting sites such as Facebook, Twitter and reading e-mails etc, and 500MB of data for downloading etc,

so in other words i should not buy one of ebay because they will mostly be faulty or fake!

Buying a second hand iphone on ebay is extremely risky and brand new/nearly new ones are almost the same price as RRP so its better to buy from Apple direct. However one place i recommend to buy new or second hand iphones is AVforums. For example this brand new iphone 4 (16gb) is being sold for £410 inc delivery, you might be able to haggle the price down to £380-£400 which is a good deal IMHO

Buying a second hand iphone on ebay may be risky.

A bit of research before you commit reduces that risk.
  • Also places like Cash Converter, CeX etc, sell the iPhone for around the £400 mark

Calm Down only a spelling mistake !!

I'd advise you get a contract but make sure you don't get one from 3 their not very good.

:eek:be careful what you say, you could get done for slander:p:D

But in all seriousness(think i have spelt that wrong, so i am sure the spelling police will be on my case in a minute) what is wrong with a 3 contract, i have been with them for over 5 years now, never had a problem, i currently have an iphone 4 which i got for nothing and pay £35 per month for 2000 minutes, 5000 3 to 3 minutes, 5000 texts and all you can eat data, dont have any of these supposed signal problems the iphone 4 is supposed to suffer from, never dont get a signal, unless i am right out in the sticks(mind you just recieved a text telling me they are upgrading the network in my area on friday and i may lose some services for a while, so i wait with baited breath on that one), i am very happy with them so again why are 3 not very good;)

I don't have any personal experience with '3', but as they say in some other country "it is better to be wealthy and healthy than poor and ill".

You are 'welthy' (don't have any problems) and hence 'healthy' (don't have to contact the CS).
Those who have problems have to contact the CS - and here other problems start. They are doomed to remain 'poor and ill'.
