Getting PAC code from 3
I'm trying to change network providers. I've been with 3 for about 3 years but the network is getting worse round my house so I want to leave.
I've just tried to ring them and asked for my PAC code, but they spent half an hour trying to convince me that I wasn't having technical problems, then even if I was they could sort it and why did I want to leave when I'd been with them for so long. I asked for my PAC code at least 4 times during my half hour conversation. In the end I put the phone down as I'd had enough.
Has anybody else had trouble trying to get a PAC code off them? Is there any other way of getting it other than on the phone? Am I just going to have to try again and hope I get someone a little more helpful?

I've never tried to get a PAC from 3 before but I know that they are quite difficult to get it from.
if you are PAYG or out of contract then it should be easy, have a read of this, new rules have come in forcing networks to give PACs without delay.
call them off your mobile (think it's 333 the number) and just keep demanding your PAC (in a nice way though dont be like 'give me the PAC now your little *** *** ***') also quote them the new OFCOM rules and demand to speak to a manager if they delay at all.
also on above link is an example of how difficult it is to get your PAC from 3 (although personally I do think he could have handled the call better)0 -
Thanks, looks like they got the message after all as they've sent me a text with it. I know they want to keep customers but I did feel half an hour of trying to convince me to stay was a bit much.0

You must spend more with them than me
Took me 5 mins to get mine - although to be fair I did get cross with them as they started asking for my work address so they could check the coverage there too! (In the end I didn't use my PAC). 0
