Htc or Lg?

Im out of my contract on the 23rd of this month (had the htc hero) and thinking of either having the HTC Incredible S or the LG Optimus 2x...what do you reckon?

The LG has better specs, the HTC will have better build quality.

As above though, you could always wait for the HTC Pyramid/Sensation (come on fools, 'Pyramid' as a name whips 'Sensation', why change it?)

Another vote for HTC, for one they offer 24 month warranty as standard, LG offer 12 months as standard.
  • Beware of all the people slating the LG on here that have probably never seen one let alone used it....

What are you like with Technology? Have you rooted your Hero or put custom roms on it? If you are comfortable with any of that then I would highly recommend the LG... the modding community is well behind the device and the bootloader is unlocked. This phone will go far.

The software on the HTC will probably be better as LG are so new at this game, thats the only area the LG falls down on slightly but as above, if you are happy with installing custom updates then I would get the better spec LG for future proofing.

If you aren't comfortable with it then I would suggest getting whichever you can get cheaper out of the two.

BTW what network are you on now? I had my Hero on T-Mob and upgraded to my 2X for £10 a month with £100 for the handset... you might get a decent renewal offer.
A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.

Try installing CM7 on it, and you may not want a new phone. It will get a new lease of life :)
