I have just found a clarification to my last post above above - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/805161
Also, I am not sure if I should start a new thread but I have another question.
Can I use the wages of my main job to add to the pension of my second job (teaching - TPS). I earn a lot more from my main job but the teaching pension seems quite good (you will gather from my posts that I am not very au fait with pensions etc) so I am thinking that I should add to it as much as possible. Can I put say 20k in to my teachers' pension even though I only earn 5k a year from teaching?0 -
You can make additional payments into TPS- although the benefits per £ are not the same as the main contributions
