orange contract change mind

my friend got a phone out on orange last wednesday - the phone they gave her is rubbish and shes paying quite a bit for her contract - has she got a cooling off period so she can take it back and swap the phone?
she got the phone from the orange shop itself

    No cooling off periods when bought from a store I'm afraid. She could sell the phone and put the proceeds towards purchasing a new one if she really doesn't like it?

    This depends on the store. I don't know about Orange stores.

    Remember that the handset, once opened and used, is secondhand and can't be resold by them as new. Better to buy online so you get the DSR cooling off period.
