What to do??? Exchange now or when home??

Hello all,
I have been travelling and working around Oz for the last 10 months, have to travel home soon :(
BUT do I empty my bank account here and find somewhere to exchange it to GBP now or take the AUD home with me and exchange it over there?!??!
I can transfer back through the banks however they charge quite a high fee??
Any tips/advise please ?!?!?!
Thanks
Julie

Do it through a bank. Despite the fee it will be cheaper than the horrendous exchange rates you get when changing cash.

That assumes it's a tidy sum - if it's just a few hundred $$ then it probably won't be worth it.
