It actually had nothing to do with you.
The spreadsheet is growing so much that we were discussing whether or not not to include low dtd items. We decided to include everything but split the pages.

Of course it had nothing to do with me :). Still amusing the same idea was called lazy by an updater either way it means, all can benefit as it grows in size good job kids :)

The biggest thing I have taken away from this, is the need to shop around for groceries as I have been doing for everything else I buy, instead of being so passive and just accepting these Giants truth that they are cheaper...

and I'm reading on here trying to distract myself whilst watching the walking dead!:eek:

Sounds like an average trip to T's - trying to mingle and not draw attention to yourself as you try to pass a dtd voucher un-noticed. lol

But ONLY if you had bought the products that are cheaper at Asda and as many of us have found my wombling receipts Tesco come up cheaper overall quite a lot of the time.

So yes you would have saved that much by going to Asda if your weekly shop consisted of magnums, wolf blass, rack of lamb, comfort strawb, potatoes in goose fat and tins of salmon.

What this has really shown is Tesco is cheaper on certain products and so is Asda. So it pays to seek out the best offers in both before doing your shop in one supermarket.
Very true! I had a fab time doing a normal shop the other day not worrying about dtd, buying all the cheap fruit and veg etc! And I have found that Asda's prices are better overall for cleaning stuff (that I don't need to buy anymore of for yonks) and food that's bad for me. So it probably won't change my shopping habits that much long term. T's is still my most convenient store.

In my real life, I don't buy finest food!
  • I fancy a bottle non the same...is it any good?

Neither of us here was remotely impressed by it tbh. It was very run of the mill.

Actually, I think you complained that the spreadsheet wasn't good enough, that it was too much effort to apply a filter and thoroughly insulted everyone who works on it by describing it as "cobbled together" whilst crowing about your excel expertise.

As we had some downtime due to not getting vouchers yesterday we were discussing whether to keep including everything as some of the deals reported were relatively small. So we split the sheet. Why can't you just be content that we've made your life easier rather than having a dig, again. :(

Eye of yhe beholder. Yes I wanted to make me lif easier to find gigh dtd items and now you have providrd this for everyone wgich is great. . Just amusing ire discussions resulted in same conclusions as I suggeted before discussion went down hill and was called laxy along with me mud slinging too. As you say ots made easier for me and everyone else.

Soory if I am being a bit 'dippy' but do Mr T's accept the £5 off co-op vouchers that I can get from beforeibuy.com??
I am under the impression that they do from previous posts but not 100%??
TIA and well done to you all for all your hard work and contributions

I have had no problem using them until today, shift leader said not valid because they have no Valassis code on them.

'Look everybody, tinned red salmon has been reduced to £1.50 in Asda, we better all run to Tesco and buy 6 tins at nearly 4 quid each before they reduce it there too' :j

    We're a strange bunch, but I wouldn't swap you for the world:p
