Makes me laugh if people get up tight about not getting all their money back. If someone said you could get 25% TO 50% BACK ON A £40 SHOP in February, I for one would have jumped at the chance, especially if to qualify all I had to buy was a couple of bottle of lovely wine or some oxi action! Excellent work - keep it up.
The biggest thing I'll take away from this is that actually I COULD have had this kind of percentage saving on my shop all along - by going to Asda!0 -
Think I'll maybe give the Arm&Hammer a go then, will be a wee change in between Aquafresh as I've got quite a supply of that now;).0

That's true, but now you have a choice. Happy days. . .0

ive never USED a voucher there simply cos ive found a bigger store that stocks most of the best DTD things and has nice staff so use that now. x
The tesco express receipts didn't work for me. I got the following message:
We’re really sorry but unfortunately the store you shopped in is not part of Tesco Price Check. Only Extra's, Superstores and Metro's are included. For further details, please read the terms and conditions.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -

But ONLY if you had bought the products that are cheaper at Asda and as many of us have found my wombling receipts Tesco come up cheaper overall quite a lot of the time.
So yes you would have saved that much by going to Asda if your weekly shop consisted of magnums, wolf blass, rack of lamb, comfort strawb, potatoes in goose fat and tins of salmon.
What this has really shown is Tesco is cheaper on certain products and so is Asda. So it pays to seek out the best offers in both before doing your shop in one supermarket. My daughters are my world0 -

The biggest thing I have taken away from this, is the need to shop around for groceries as I have been doing for everything else I buy, instead of being so passive and just accepting these Giants truth that they are cheaper...
and I'm reading on here trying to distract myself whilst watching the walking dead!:eek:0 -
Actually, I think you complained that the spreadsheet wasn't good enough, that it was too much effort to apply a filter and thoroughly insulted everyone who works on it by describing it as "cobbled together" whilst crowing about your excel expertise.
As we had some downtime due to not getting vouchers yesterday we were discussing whether to keep including everything as some of the deals reported were relatively small. So we split the sheet. Why can't you just be content that we've made your life easier rather than having a dig, again.I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!
Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A0 -
Reading through the last few pages has really made me chuckle!
Anyone 'wandering' into this thread that didn't know what it is all about would think we were all mad.:T
All this discussion of 'Bloody Tesco have reduced the wine/lamb/beef/salmon again.
I'll not be buying that till the price goes back up'!!
Love it! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

The biggest thing I have taken away with this is a box of 56 dishwasher tablets
In terms of lessons, shop around is key. Fortunately we have 3 massive Tescos, an Asda and 2 HBs within a 3 mile radius so we get spoilt for offers with just a little looking.
