what about the people who collect old receipts , they could have been used and discarded unsigned.

    somebody will know.

    why would they know???

that would mean someone has to maunally record all teh receipt numbers on the vouchers at every single store up and down the country ever single day and then send it to someone to put it on a database..

I used a few shops last week , and got in a bit of a muddle with which ones I used etc.

Have whittled it down to one £20 voucher with receipt which I am 90% sure I have not used. (the till ops dont bother signing in my one)

If I go , and I am wrong and have used it , I assume the till on the computer will reject it? is that right?

Just for the record, I only wish to use my voucher and receipt once, not make an attempt to game the system.

I'm so glad someone else has raised this! I lost a voucher and got in a muddle too, guessed at which one I hadn't used, reprinted and used - then found the missing voucher and I'd re-used the wrong one  . They were roughly the same price (just over £12) so I decided I wouldn't use the other one as it was 'fair', but I was expecting a knock on the door and daren't post on here as I thought I'd be eaten alive! In the event, nothing happened at all.

Incidentally, the SAs don't look at or sign my receipts either, and having heard some of the stories on here, I feel a bit reluctant to draw their attention to the receipt with the time all wrong!

OK thanks for contributing , I think you have made your points clearly and in full.

Now all I need is somebody who knows what happens if I have used it before.

    It will be accepted.

It may be accepted but it doesn't mean that they wont catch up with people reusing vouchers. Not saying this is the case btw!
