No- questions have question marks -statements don't !

Had I said "Have you thought about college for yourself?" That would be a question.

Nice try but no cigar :D

Fair enough...but you still missed out the full stop at the end of your STATEMENT.

(I'm also highly amused at how excited you got about your little 'one-up')

true but it would be very silly to do less. and i believe its a valid assumption that all of us are running near 20 pound vouchers (if we have hang of it) as that maximises each trip.

I don't, it would be hard to get up to £20 most of the time. I live alone, hardly ever eat meat, only have one bottle of wine a week and wouldn't use an awful lot of what's on the dtd list. So it's better for me to pick and choose, and have 10 visits at an average of £10 each to maximize the value. Would rather have 20 visits of £5, actually, as I would normally go to Tesco's most days to pick up bargain yellow stickers.

Wooooaaahhhh.... let's stay on track here. We all have the shared goal of saving money. There's enough people who'd pick holes in us in the big bad world. Let's keep with the spirit of this tremendous forum and offer our posts as acts of support for our fellow money savers.

My friend with 7 kids is ecstatic that she can give them a Magnum as a treat as she would never, ever be able to have them in her freezer ordinarily. Along with all the other goodies she has been able to supply them with this school holiday. She is now trying to plan ahead with Christmas in mind for stocking fillers.

Are the 7 children all her own?

what started all this was someone expressing an opinion. I don't know why some people jumped down their throat. Everyone is allowed an opinion and in my opinion he wasn't trying to start a fight.

Anyway, I am off to enjoy the rest of the day, not stay on here and listen to everyone argue.

the post about 7 shops in 30 mins (3.5 per person as it was two people) just goes to show no matter how many shops you do or how moral you think you are,... if any of us goes above the 100 pound per month limit (which we all do as everyone waits for vouchers every day... meaning they recycle at least once a day) then you cant whinge or complain.

It shows that no matter what you do someone else will try and do more.. just fill your boots and be selfish as trying to control the masses wont get you anywhere.

Altho to the person doing 7 shops in 30 mins my store have recognised me for going in two times a day.. so i suspect if you continue they would pick up oin it eventually and have some strong words lol :P. Depends how easy going the managers are cause with 7 shops in 30 mins you are i would guess going against the spirit of the scheme
    .

    Bolded by me

    I agree with this.

Each to their own but you are playing an extremely risky game doing this amount of shops in one day. If they really wanted to they could quite easily trace all vouchers back to the same person via IP address.

I'm not having a go at all because I do believe we should fill our boots and I would be lying if I said I wasn't. Not that this was the case in the beginning mind you. Only recently have I started going on a more regular basis. I've even put through 2 transactions with a voucher for each....I must say it made me feel sick though, not sure I could do it again.

I would much rather spread my shopping out across the week than draw attention to myself. But I'm aware not everyone can go every day but you could maybe get it delivered if you cannot get to the store. I know you have to factor in del costs but I wouldn't want anyone else getting into bother for this. DTDsearcher had a horrible experience yesterday, I would hate to see someone else go through that.

So, maybe a bit off topic but what's everyone planning on buying today?

I'm giving Mr T a miss today but have to go tomorrow for a bday present. I have my leg of lamb just about to go in the oven and my roast potatoes are in the fridge:D.
